Birth anniversary of Tipu Sultan celebrated

Mysore/Mysuru: The 274th birth anniversary celebrations of Hazarath Tipu Sultan Shaheed, organised by Hazarath Tipu Sultan Shaheed Welfare and Urus Committee on Sawday Road, Lashkar Mohalla, was held at Meelad Park on Ashoka Road in city recently.

The celebration was held under the leadership of Afroz Pasha, Secretary of the Welfare and Urus Committee in a grand manner and under the guidance of MLA Tanveer Sait.

The celebrations began at 10 am in Meelad Park, with recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by the students of Azam Arabic College on Ashoka Road. Sufi Darvesh, devotees, Hazarath Ahmed Pasha Khadree, Khwaja Mohammed Musheer Chishti, President of Chishtiya Foundation Group, Mysuru, Toufeeq Majeed Khan, Radiulla Khan, Member of DCC were present.

The delegation later reached Tipu Tomb and Friday prayer was performed at Masjid Aqsa, Tipu Tomb in Srirangapatna and paid floral tribute to Tipu Sultan shrine. Fatha Khawni, Darud Salam and spreading of flower mat (Chadar Shariff) was held.

Hazarath Tipu Sultan Welfare and Urus Committee Karnataka State Chairman and advocate M.S. Mukram, Rehaman Khan, Dawood, Hazarath Noorulla Shariff, Hazarath Ahmed Pasha Khadree, Khwaja Mohammed Musheer Chishti, Toufeeq Majeed Khan, Radiulla Khan, Mirza Jamsheed Baig Ashrafi and devotees were present.

On the occasion, Tabruk was organised to the devotees outside Tipu Tomb and breakfast was arranged at Allah Malik House on Ashoka Road West Cross.
