Kushalnagar: A businessman sustained injuries on his leg during a firing incident in the town yesterday midnight.
The injured has been identified as Shashikumar Gowda, a businessman and a resident of the town while the accused who allegedly fired at him using a gun, is Anudeep, also from the town.
The incident took place at Gummanakolli in Chowdeshwari Layout in the town.
Wordy duel ensued between them during a liquor party late yesterday night and both went their ways. At about midnight, Shashikumar went near Anudeep’s house during which he (Anudeep) reportedly opened fire on Shashikumar with a gun, resulting in Shashikumar sustaining serious injuries on his leg.
He is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Mysuru. After firing at Shashikumar, Anudeep had fled from the spot.
Kushalnagar Police, who had registered a case, launched a hunt to nab accused and nabbed him in the town this morning.
