BJP has not forced Sreenivasa Prasad to contest: MLA

Malkundi:  Rubbishing Congress party’s charge that veteran leader V. Sreenivasa Prasad was forced to contest by the BJP from Chamarajanagar LS seat, Nanjangud BJP MLA  B. Harshavardhan, who is also the son-in-law of Prasad, said that Prasad has jumped into the fray as per the desire of party workers.

Addressing a poll rally at Malkundi in Nanjangud taluk on Wednesday, he maintained that the voters were in favour of Prasad.

Hitting back at MP and Congress candidate R. Dhruvanarayan for saying that the BJP forced Prasad to contest, the MLA claimed that the winds of change were blowing at Chamarajanagar and BJP’s win was certain from the seat.

Stating that Prasad would become a Union Minister if elected, he appealed to the electorate to vote for Prasad as the BJP was certain to return to power under PM Modi’s leadership. Harshavardhan also campaigned in several villages of the taluk.
