BJP to hold massive farmers’ convention in city on Oct. 26

Mysuru: The BJP will stage a massive convention of farmers at Maharaja’s College grounds in the city on Oct. 26.

Announcing this at a press meet here yesterday, District BJP President Kote M. Shivanna said the convention has been organised as part of the BJP’s ‘Vision-2024’ for making Mysuru District Chemical Fertilizers Free Agricultural District.

Former CM and State BJP President B.S. Yeddyurappa will preside over the meet, in which State BJP Vice-President V. Sreenivasa Prasad, former Deputy CM R. Ashok, former Ministers B. Sriramalu and V. Somanna, MP Pratap Simha, former Minister C.H. Vijayshankar and other leaders will take part.

More than 5,000 farmers have registered to take part in the rally, he said and added that farmers can give a missed call to 88244-66665 to register for taking part in the convention.

BJP leaders H.V. Rajeev, Prasanna N. Gowda, Javaregowda were present at the press meet.
