Mysore/Mysuru: Ahead of the voting day on Apr. 26, the BJP has stepped up its campaign for Mysuru-Kodagu candidate Yaduveer Wadiyar by organising ‘Maha Samparka Abhiyan’ at N.R. Constituency to ensure the victory of the party candidate. BJP leader and former Mayor Sandesh Swamy flagged off the Maha Samparka campaign yesterday.
Speaking on the occasion, Sandesh Swamy said that there are a total of 280 booths in N.R. Constituency and the BJP workers must ensure that the party polls more votes in all the booths.
“The voters must remember that the Maharaja of Mysore provided houses for the poor and developed slum areas like Jyothinagar, Jalapuri Police Quarters and Gayathripuram. Gayathripuram locality is named after royal family member Gayathri Devi,” he said.
Stating that he, as a three-time Corporator and as a Mayor, had worked sincerely for the development of N.R. Constituency, Sandesh Swamy said that the voters had blessed him with more votes when he contested Assembly elections on two occasions.
“When this is the case, how can voters forget the Maharaja of Mysore who developed the beautiful city of Mysuru and worked for the welfare of all sections of the society,” he said and expressed confidence that the people of Mysuru city, who have highest love and regards for the royal family, will vote for BJP candidate Yaduveer Wadiyar and elect him as their MP with a big margin.
