BJP launches drought study tour

Tumakuru: With the State reeling under the worst drought in over four decades, the main opposition BJP yesterday launched drought study tour of the State from Tumakuru.

The BJP leaders including State BJP President B.S. Yeddyurappa, Union Minister D.V. Sadananda Gowda, State BJP incharge Muralidhar Rao, Opposition Leaders Jagadish Shettar and K.S. Eshwarappa, MLAs C.T. Ravi and R. Ashok, leaders Sogadu Shivanna and V. Somanna, MP B. Sriramulu and a host of other leaders, visited the Siddaganga Mutt and sought the blessings of centenarian Seer  Dr. Sri Shivakumara Swamiji.

The leaders then had breakfast at a Dalit’s house before embarking on the drought study tour in separate teams.
