Mysuru: Marking Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, the city BJP will celebrate ‘Sadbhavana Diwas’ in city tomorrow (Sept.17).
Announcing this at a press meet at Pathrakartara Bhavan here this morning, MLA and former Minister S.A. Ramdas said that ‘Swachhta Abhiyan’ will be conducted in all the 20 MCC Wards coming under KR constituency from 6.30 am to 8.30 am tomorrow, in order to carry forward the Prime Minister’s pet initiative of ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.’
The Swachhta Abhiyan, which will be launched tomorrow, will be held on every Sunday from now on, he said adding that the public will be sensitised on maintaining hygienity, by erecting information boards at all waste dumping spots in the city.
Continuing, Ramdas said that ‘Sadruda Bharath’ (Strong India) too will be launched tomorrow and the parents of all babies born between 12 this midnight to 12 tomorrow midnight will be felicitated and presented baby kits.
The MLA said that ‘Sadbhavana Diwas’ will be celebrated at his newly opened office in CADA premises at 11 am tomorrow.
Highlighting the concept of ‘Strong India,’ Ramdas said that a orientation programme for heads of high schools which have recorded poor results in SSLC exam will be held shortly. An interaction session with SSLC students of poorly performing schools will be held every Saturday in order to pep up the morale of students, he added.
