BJP Women’s Wing holds workshop on membership campaign

Mysuru: District (Rural) BJP President L.R. Mahadevaswamy has called upon the party’s Women’s Morcha office-bearers to ensure that a large number of people take up the party’s membership in every booth.

 He was speaking after inaugurating District BJP Women’s Wing membership campaign workshop organised at the party office in Chamarajapuram here recently.

Pointing out that Prime Minister Modi has come up with several programmes and schemes for empowerment of women in keeping with ‘Viksit Bharat’ concept, Mahadevaswamy stressed on the importance of these programmes reaching the doorsteps of every woman beneficiary.

Highlighting the Union Government’s schemes for women’s development, empowerment and self-reliance, he called for making the party membership campaign, a huge success.

Hitting out at the State Congress Government, he said that the Government was                                          mired in corruption, scams and maladministration.

Charging the Siddaramaiah Government of diverting SC/ST welfare funds for guarantee schemes, he maintained that all developmental works and activities had come to a halt over the past one year.

Lashing out at the Congress leaders and Ministers for making insensitive remarks against the Prime Minister, he asked the Ministers to have control over their language and speech,  else face defamation suits in courts.

State BJP Vice-President N. Mahesh  and State BJP Office Secretary Lokesh Ambegal too spoke on the occasion.

BJP Mahila Morcha District President Nalini Gowda,  office-bearers Nandini, Radhika and others were present.
