Mandya: In a novel protest, a BJP worker has sent an application addressed to the Deputy Commissioner of Mandya N. Manjushree asking her to send a videographer and a photographer to cover a wedding.
BJP worker S. Shivakumar submitted the application after reading a news item stating that the Deputy Commissioner had told Sumalatha Amabarish’s election agent Madan Kumar that she had sent the videographer who had covered coalition candidate Nikhil Kumaraswamy’s filing of nomination process to cover a wedding later.
In the application, Shivakumar has said that as his uncle’s daughter’s wedding is fixed on Apr.24, 2019 at Sri Arkeshwaraswamy Temple in Guttalu village and has requested the DC to send a videographer and photographer.
He has also mentioned that he was ready to bear the expenses, at Government rate, that occurred to cover the wedding. He was interested in this offer as he had read about the facility and he also wanted to make use of the facility that the DC had offered, he has stated in the application.
Shivakumar walked up to the DC’s office submitted the application and got th acknowledgement.
