Mandya: Mysuru Royal Institute of Technology (MRIT), Lions Club of Mandavyanagar, Lions Club of Mandya Krushik, Lions Club of Mandya Sahithya, Indian Red Cross Society Mandya and Palahalli Primary Health Centre (PHC), in collaboration with MIMS Blood Bank Centre, Mandya, had organised a blood donation, grouping and a health check-up camp for women at Mysuru Royal Institute of Technology (MRIT) here recently.
The camp was inaugurated by MRIT Principal Dr. K.S. Abhinandan by lighting the lamp.
President of Lions Club of Mandavyanagar Ln. Dr. B.S. Shivakumara highlighted the significance of the programme. President of Lions Club of Mandya Krushik Ln. K.T Hanumanthu spoke on the need for blood donation camps while Dr. Shivalingegowda stressed on the importance of induction programme for the students.
On the occasion of Women’s Day, Dr. Vismitha educated girls about maintenance of their health. College Secretary Dr. K.B. Boraiah inaugurated the blood donation camp by handing over a unit of blood to the doctor.
Dr. H.S. Suresh Chandra, Chandramouli, Prof. Nakul Gowda, Rafi and others were present.
