Blood donation camp conducted to help dengue patients

Mysuru: With the rise in the number of cases of dengue across the city, NR Group has taken an initiative to curb the vector-borne disease by organising a blood donation camp at NR House, Vani Vilasa Road, for its employees yesterday.

The camp, held in association with Jeevandhara Blood Bank, to help people battling dengue, was inaugurated by MP Pratap Simha.

Speaking on the occasion, the MP said, “This blood donation camp has been organised with an aim to save lives and it is an honour for me to be a part of it. From past few months, Mysuru has been hit hard by dengue and for battling this disease we need more and more people to come forward and take such initiatives.”

NR Group Chairman R. Guru and Director Arjun Ranga were present. Extending their support, about 300 employees donated blood, from which platelets will be extracted for dengue patients.
