Mysore/Mysuru: As part of Father’s Day celebration and birth anniversary of Hari Shankar Singhania, former Chairman of J.K. Organisation, over 30 employees of J.K. Tyres voluntarily donated blood at Jeevadhara Blood Bank on Sayyaji Rao Road in city.
Speaking on the occasion, Vikram Hebbar, Human Resource Officer, J.K. Tyres, said: “Every year we organise blood donation camp on the occasion of birth anniversary of our Founder-Chaiman Hari Shankar Singhania. This year, due to fear of Corona, there is shortage of blood at Blood Banks and hence, we decided to motivate more people including our family members to donate blood. Our company Founder treated us like his children and today, being Father’s Day we thought of paying our tribute this way.”
Jeevadhara Blood Bank Director Girish, who too spoke, said that every day, 300 to 400 units of blood is required to different hospitals in Mysuru and now people hesitate to donate blood with the fear of being infected by Corona.
Appreciating J.K. Tyres employees for voluntarily donating blood, like they do every year, even in this tough times, Girish said that individuals and organisations must come forward to donate blood and help save lives.
