Mysore/Mysuru: A blood donation camp marked the Independence Day celebration by the city’s Gobhakta Sangha on Saturday.
The Gobhakta Sangha had organised the camp in association with Terapanth Yuvak Parishad and Jeevadhara Blood Bank at Ayurveda Hospital, in which 75 people voluntarily donated blood.
Speaking on the occasion, Jeevadhara Blood Bank Director Girish said that Gobhakta Sangha has done a good job by organising blood donation camp on Independence Day, in honour of martyrs who fought for the independence of the country.
Pointing out that the camp assumes special significance as it has been organised at a time when the entire world is reeling under COVID-19 pandemic, he stressed on following Government guidelines on COVID-19 precautionary and safety measures.
Jeevadhara Blood Bank’s Muthanna, Gobhakta Sangha’s Prakash Nikam, Dr. Mamatha and Dr. Kiran, former Corporator M.D. Parthasarathy, Devendra Paharia, Vikash Rathod, Prakash Rathod, Danaram Parihar, Goodaram Kag, Anand Mandot, Chiranjilal Kumavat, Ramesh Choyal, Rakesh and others were present.
