Mysuru: A Blood Grouping and Blood Donation Camp for NCC Cadets ‘YUVA RED CROSS’ volunteers was organised at A.V. Hall in Sarada Vilas College, Krishnamurthypuram, in association with Jeevadhara Blood Bank, Mysuru, recently. The camp was inaugurated by Lt. Col. Pushkar Raj, Commanding Officer of 13 Kar Bn NCC, Mysuru. He also mentioned the importance of blood donation, during critical and emergency cases.
Dr. Chalana, Blood Bank Officer, Jeevadhara Blood Bank, Mysuru, opined that blood donation is essential to save persons who are facing problems like loss of blood due to accidents, those at battle field and some dangerous infections like dengue, etc.
This programme was presided by Dr. K.J. Murulidhara, Principal, Sarada Vilas College, Mysuru.
On the occasion, Commanding Officer Lt. Col. Pushkar Raj, Jco. Amrik Singh of 13 Kar Bn NCC, Capt. R.A. Manjunath, ANO, Sarada Vilas College, Mysuru, donated blood. Also, 13 students donated blood and 50 students underwent Blood Grouping.
Abhinandan welcomed. Sgt. Priyanka proposed a vote of thanks. Programme was compered by Cdt. Vini Margret.
