Mysore/Mysuru: A COVID Care Centre (CCC) which is functioning at Bogadi 2nd Stage in Chamundeshwari Assembly Constituency will soon be relieved from the treatment of Corona positive patients, thanks to steady decline in cases.
This CCC, established at the Government Medical and Technical College Boys and Girls Hostels, have separate sections for male and female. The Centre was opened by Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) to treat patients due to spike in Corona positive cases in city and district. So far, 362 patients were admitted of which 348 have recovered. Presently, there are six women and eight male patients in this CCC.
A good treatment, food and accommodation were given to patients of Vijayanagar 3rd and 4th Stages, Bogadi village, Bogadi 2nd Stage, Ramakrishnagar, Yelwal, Hinkal, Varakodu and Kadakola. A homely atmosphere was created for patients by providing them with the diet prescribed by Health Department. Both doctors and cleaning staff were working in three shifts. Cleanliness was given top priority.
An ambulance has been stationed at the Centre which was available to patients 24×7. The ambulance driver, Yogi said that so far, over 200 patients have been carried to CCC and different hospitals. Two ambulances have been stationed at Vijayanagar COVID Mitra and COVID Care Centres which take around 5-10 patients to Hospitals daily and bring them back to the CCC. There has been good co-operation from local residents, patients and their relatives, he added.
