A stretch of Bogadi road from Kukkarahalli Lake junction leading to the signal light near Manasagangothri campus is badly in need of a traffic interceptor. The motorists, especially four-wheelers, ply in opposite directions at a reckless speed overtaking other relatively slow moving vehicles.
This may prove fatal if the driver of vehicles coming from the opposite direction is also driving at a similar speed. Conspicuously there is no road divider or median on this stretch. Most of the time our Traffic Police are seen busy inspecting two-wheeler riders for not wearing helmet or not possessing RC book, sparing motorists violating traffic rules. Also, it is a nuisance on the part of Traffic Police standing in the middle of the road obstructing the free traffic flow to catch hold of the violators.
Many times I have seen motorists trying to escape from Police by taking U-turn which in turn has led to accidents. I strongly appeal to the authorities concerned to take a serious look into this matter to erect a median and keep traffic interceptor in this stretch of road to penalise the offenders.
