Sir,
The Shatabdi train plying between Mysuru and Chennai is the best mode of travel between these two major cities. In fact, this train can be preferred over any other train, but for slightly higher train fare.
However, one thing which causes inconvenience for the regular passengers in this train is the unscientific and improper identification of bogies unlike other trains.
The individual bogie identification system adopted in this train is through white display board, which is 2 Dimensional and concealed one.
Normally, this doesn’t attract anybody’s attention during day-time because of the very poor design and pre- sence of dust on the covering glass. During night-times, this 2D Panel gets illuminated and draws individual attention, unlike during day-time.
Hence, I request the Railway authorities to immediately introduce regular 3 Dimensional flaps in this train similar to other trains, for clear identification of individual bogies from a far distance and thereby help the passengers for easy location of their bogies while boarding the train.
