Brahmana Sanghas felicitate MLA Ramdas

MLA S.A. Ramdas, who was feted by Brahmana Sanghas at Krishna Dhama in Saraswathipuram yesterday, is seen with Sri Vidyahamsabharathi Swamiji, Sri Vidyamanoharatheertha Swamiji and others.

Mysuru:  Akhila Karnataka Brahmana Mahasabha (AKBMS), Mysuru City and District Brahmana Sangha and Brahmana Sanghagala Okkuta had jointly organised a function at Krishna Dhama in Saraswathipuram here yesterday to felicitate MLA S.A. Ramdas, who was elected recently in the Assembly polls with a wide margin.

Sri Vidyahamsabharathi Swamiji of Ambavana Kshetra, Pandavapura and Sri Vidyamanoharatheertha Swamiji of Sosale Vyasaraja Mutt graced the occasion and blessed Ramdas.

Speaking on the occasion, Sri Vidyamanoharatheertha Swamiji said that Ramdas’ victory indicated that unity is strength and asked the community members to stay united and support Ramdas throughout his tenure.

Addressing the gathering, Sri Vidyahamsabharathi Swamiji opined that Shankracharya Mutt, Madhvacharya Mutt and Ramanujacharya Mutt should not be viewed as three                              separate entities.

He emphasised that Mutts were just places for students and not the abode of yathis. He asked the people to shun superstitions and accept realities.

AKBMS President K.N. Venkatanarayana, who also spoke, expressed happiness in 12 Brahmins getting elected as MLAs and asked all of them to strive for the welfare of people in general without any bias.

Thanking the voters of K.R. Constituency for electing him with a wide margin, Ramdas, who spoke after being felicitated, assured to live up to the expectations and strive for the welfare of the people.

District Brahmana Sangha President D.T. Prakash, AKBMS State Secretary N. Srikanta Kumar, Sri Ilai Alwar Swamiji, Dr. Bhanuprakash Sharma, retired Dean of MMC&RI Dr. Geetha Avadhani, Corporators M.V. Ramprasad, Seema Prasad and others were present.
