Mysore/Mysuru: The Karnataka State Brahmin Development Board has invited applications from eligible community students for availing student scholarships under the Board’s Saandeepani Shishyavetana Yojane.
Presiding over the Pratibha Puraskar programme for Brahmin community students of five districts (Mysuru, Mandya, Hassan, Chamarajanagar and Kodagu) organised at GSSS Educational Institutions at Siddarthanagar here yesterday, Board Chairman H.S. Sachidananda Murthy said that Brahmin students studying in classes from PUC to Post-Graduate degree can apply. Under the scheme, each beneficiary student will get Rs. 15,000 scholarship. The applicant must have an EWS (Economically Weaker Section) certificate issued by the Government. The eligible community students can apply from tomorrow (Dec.14) till Jan. 15, 2021, he said. Thereafter, all the applications received will be scrutinised till Jan. 21, following which the Scholarship will be distributed to the deserving applicants, he added.
