Mysuru: A Quiz Competition ‘Brain Bytes-2017’ was conducted at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham for PU College students on Nov.8.
The chief guest, Rachan Appanamaiah, Principal, SVG’s Vishwaprajna Composite Residential PU College, Mysuru, in his inaugural address, emphasized on the need for conducting SWOT analysis to understand the strengths of the quizzing team and work on the threat areas. He further encouraged them to develop good listening skills and constant and continuous reading habit.
Around 400 PU students from more than 30 colleges in and around Mysuru participated in the competition.
The objective was to identify young talents and motivate students to gain wide knowledge of the society they live in. It was an info-educative experience for the students to go through the five rounds — Written test, Online test, Puzzles & Riddle Buzzer round, Spin to Win-Audio Visual round and the Final rapid fire round.
The winners and all the finalists were awarded cash prizes and certificates.
Br. Sunil Dharmapal, Director, Amrita School of Education and Br. Venugopal, Correspondent, Amrita School of Education were present on the occasion. Prof. C. Vidya Pai, Principal, Amrita School of Arts and Science, presided.

I prize: H.P. Pruthvi & N. Shankar Athreya, Vijaya Vittala PU College.
II prize: G. Shruthi Bhonsle & Rahul Ganesh, Sadvidya Semi-Residential College.
III Prize: R. Rahul & J. Ashwin, Atomic Energy School.
