Mysore/Mysuru: Keeping in mind the uncertainty in reopening of school and understanding the difficulty parents face in engaging their children during the lockdown period, Pandit’s The orchids Public School and PU College have been keeping students involved in learning through online classes and activities.
II PU and 10th std. students are undergoing online classes through weblinks or on WhatsApp from Apr. 5 whereas Classes 1 to 9 students are getting activity-based learning support from May 18.
“All the learning happens through innovative age appropriate activities which the school teachers have come up with. We are keeping parent’s concern over availability of smartphones / laptops or internet connectivity in mind but nonetheless ensuring maximum involvement of students by giving them home assignments and making them do it and post it back in WhatsApp without fail. It is also a time in which all our teachers are learning new things in terms of technology and also fine-tuning their communication and presentation skills,” said a press release from the School Chairman Ullas Pandit.
