Mysuru: In separate cases, burglars, who struck into two houses in city have looted a total of 60 grams gold ornaments and Rs.32,000 cash from the houses.
In the first case, burglars, who gained entry into a locked house at Udayagiri when the house owner along with his family members had gone out of station on Nov.9, looted 60 grams gold ornaments and Rs.8,000 cash from the house. The theft came to light when the family members returned the next morning. A case has been registered at Udayagiri Police Station.
In the second case, burglars who entered a house in Metagalli even when an aged couple were inside, have decamped with Rs.24,000 cash from the house.
The burglary took place at the house of Syed Wahid, a fruit merchant. Wahid, on Nov.12 had gone out to conduct his business leaving behind his aged parents at home when the burglars struck the house and looted cash kept in the almirah.
A case has been registered at Metagalli Police Station.
