Bus shelters and footpaths needed on Bogadi Road

Sir,

In the absence of footpaths and bus shelters on Bogadi Road, which is one of the main arterial roads of the city connecting the Ring Road to New Sayyaji Rao   Road and most neglected road, public are being inconvenienced a lot.

From Railway Gate to Ring Road, there is only one bus shelter at AIISH Circle, close to a temple and that too half finished. In the absence of defined footpaths, there is no limit for two-wheeler riders and they are going to extremes of the road without following lane discipline and inconveniencing the pedestrians, especially at AIISH Circle (towards Aroma bakery side).

In the absence of bus shelters, many commuters  can be seen always waiting for city buses under the scorching sun or rain at University Guest House, AIISH Circle and other nearby junctions. AIISH Circle is very busy with both pedestrians and vehicle users from 8 am to 8 pm with many mothers taking their kids by walk to AIISH for treatment.

As of now, this road is very poorly lit with street lights. As this road is under widening process, it is requested that the MCC officials plan for bus shelters on either side of the roads at the Circles indicated above, but not very close to the Circles, and footpaths on this road as done at Yadavagiri underbridge road, with a provision for street lights on the road divider.
