Byrapura Govt. First Grade College for Women gets NAAC B++ grade

Mysuru: The Government First Grade College for Women at Byrapura in T. Narasipur, has secured B++ grade from National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). With CGPA-2.82 of 4-point scale for the next five years, the College has joined the list of very few institutes that have secured NAAC grading, in the first round of assessment itself.

NAAC Peer team visited the College on Dec. 28 & 29, 2022 and had evaluated the facilities on various scales. Basic infrastructural facilities, maintenance, teaching faculty, students contributions, teaching and learning methods, institutional values and best practices at the College were appreciated by the team.

Prior to the Peer Team’s visit, third party assessment was made on the basis of the data submitted by College.

The College has completed nine years of inception and has a student strength of 578. The four-storey building constructed at the cost of Rs. 25.5 crore is split into two blocks which includes 42 class rooms, 10 laboratories and other facilities.

College Principal Dr. V.V. Jagadish stated that “We are committed to provide quality education and the recent feat is the result of strenuous efforts. Ever since the College was started, we have been acting in compliance with the academic structure and policies. Besides, opportunities are being                      provided to the students from rural areas to pursue studies in various departments. The transparent and continuous evaluation are in place to aid the overall development of the students.”
