Bengaluru: In yet another major step towards improving health services for the benefit of common man in the districts of Mysuru region, the State Cabinet which met here yesterday, gave administrative approval for release of Rs.75 crore for the construction of a new OPD block in the premises of K.R. Hospital, attached to MMC&RI (Mysore Medical College and Research Institute),which is celebrating its centenary later this year.
It may be mentioned here that, the Chief Minister Siddaramaiah Government had set aside Rs. 75 crore for the construction of new OPD Block in Mysuru’s K.R. Hospital premises, popularly known as ‘Doddaspatre’ among the rural masses, in the 2024-25 budget.
Following the administrative approval, Chamaraja MLA K. Harishgowda has thanked CM Siddaramaiah for the same and said that, the new OPD Block would also cater to the health needs of the people of southern districts of the State.
