Mysuru lad S.D. Prajwal Dev, representing India and taking part in the 15,000$ ITF men’s tennis tournament in Cairo, Egypt, went down in the men’s singles first round on Wednesday.
Henrik Traskin (Ltu) scored a 4-6, 7-6(3), 5-1 (retd) win over Prajwal and sailed into pre-quarterfinals. In the men’s doubles event, Yurii Dzharakian (Ukr) and Gunjan Jadhav beat Ansu Buyan and Prajwal 6-7(1), 7-5 (10-8) to enter quarter-finals.
