Mysore/Mysuru: Amidst growing concerns over the integrity and transparency of the operations of Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA), Syed Farooq, Secretary of KPCC Minorities Division, has urged Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to establish an investigative committee under the leadership of IAS Officer Rohini Sindhuri to uncover the truth behind the alleged scam.
In a press release, he emphasised the need for a thorough investigation to bring to light the irregularities that have plagued MUDA. He stated, “Some individuals are misusing the Right To Information Act with the intent of tarnishing the reputation of CM Siddaramaiah, who has been providing a stable governance. These allegations are an attempt to shift the blame for their corrupt practices onto the Congress party.”
Rohini Sindhuri, who previously served as Mysuru Deputy Commissioner during BJP administration, had raised concerns about malpractices within MUDA. He pointed out that an investigative committee led by Sindhuri would be instrumental in uncovering the misdeeds committed by BJP and JD(S) within MUDA.
“The investigation should include all types of plots, including those distributed on a 50:50 ratio, to ensure a comprehensive inquiry,” Farooq added.
