The Child Care Centres (whether they are getting grants from the Government or not), which are engaged in the care and protection of children who are in conflict with the law, but have not registered under the Juvenile Justice Act (Child Care and Protection), are asked to mandatorily register within six months. Individuals, organisations and other centres which have sheltered children in conflict with law, must compulsorily register. Otherwise, they are liable for imprisonment for upto one year and also liable for a penalty of Rs.1 lakh.
Hence, the unregistered Child Care Centres, organisations and individuals engaged in taking care of children in conflict with law, can visit the District Child Protection Unit, Anjanadri Main Road, Second Phase, Vijayanagar Fourth Stage and register soon.
