Karnataka State Construction Workers Union has invited applications from unorganised workers to avail facilities and benefits of various schemes introduced by the Government.
Unorganised workers, including home-based workers, street vendors, mid-day meal workers, porters, brick kiln workers, cobblers, rag pickers, domestic helpers, washermen, auto rickshaw drivers, landless labourers, plumbers, electricians, carpenters, mechanics, tailors, goldsmiths, farmers, paper distributors, priests, fishermen, painters, bar tenders, agricultural workers, construction workers or others in such occupations are eligible to apply.
Facilities include financial assistance for education and marriage of children of unorganised workers, financial aid to the family of the unorganised worker in case of any unnatural death, pension facility and medical assistance. Eligible beneficiaries need to carry all valid documents including Aadhaar card, passbook, ration card, two passport size photos while submitting applications. Karnataka State Unorganised Worker’s Association President P. Rajappa is distributing beneficiary cards to avail facilities in Mysuru, Mandya, Chamarajanagar and Kodagu.
