Cancer Support Group launched at Narayana Multispeciality Hospital

Kannada film actor Srinath is seen lighting the lamp to launch the Cancer Support Group at a programme organised at MMC Platinum Jubilee Hall in JK Grounds here recently. Cancer Support Group was launched by Narayana Multispeciality Hospital at a programme held at MMC Platinum Jubilee Hall in JK Grounds here recently.

The place was resonating with positive vibes as patients and cancer survivors exchanged their thoughts and experiences with each other in the presence of nurses, doctors and staff of Narayana Multispeciality Hospital, Mysuru.

Well-known actor Srinath was the chief guest. Other dignitaries present on the occasion included Spiritual Guru and Yogacharya  Keshavamurthy along with doctors from the Oncology team at Narayana Multispeciality Hospital — Dr. Vedapriya, Consultant Radiation Oncologist, Dr. Naveen Anvekar, Consultant Medical Oncologist, Dr. Palaniappan, Consultant Surgical Oncologist and Dr. Lokesh, Consultant Surgical Gastroenterologist.

Nitin Aiyappa, Facility Director – Narayana Multispeciality Hospital, who termed the event as a celebration, said: “The objective of Cancer Support Group is to combat Cancer jointly encouraging patients to be positive and courageous without losing hope.”
A panel discussion was moderated by Dr. Palaniappan, Dr. Naveen J. Anvekar and Dr. Lokesh, which addressed various queries posed by doctors, patients and their family members.
