The PG Department of Commerce, JSS College of Arts, Commerce and Science in Association with Bombay Stock Exchange Investors Education Fund, Mumbai, had organised a special lecture programme on ‘Capital Market Awareness’ here recently.
Umesh, practising Chartered Accountant, spoke about the formation of the Capital Markets, players and instruments traded in the market.
He further spoke on the role played by regulators (SEBI) e-Trading in Stock Exchange, investor’s protection and settlement of trading and also explained the necessity of investing in Mutual Funds and its mode of operation. He stressed more on what the investor’s ‘Must Do’ before investing.
Retd. Professor R.M. Chinthamani highlighted the need of investor’s awareness particularly about risk and returns while investing and the availability of job opportunities in Stock Markets for the present generation.
The programme was chaired by the Chief Executive Prof. B.V. Sambashivaiah and Principal Prof. M. Mahadevappa.
The programme started with an invocation by Dakshayani and welcome address by Dr. H.C. Honnappa, HoD, PG Commerce Department. S.P. Sunitha compered and proposed a vote of thanks.
