Mysuru: Captain G.R. Gopinath’s book titled “You Cannot Miss This Flight — Essays on Emerging India” will be launched at a programme organised by Mysuru Literary Forum Charitable Trust Book Clubs-2015 and HarperCollins Publishers, at Wind Chimes in Nazarbad here on Sept. 3 (Sunday) at 6 pm.
Kannada Novelist Dr. S.L. Bhyrappa will release the book. Star of Mysore Editor-in-Chief K.B. Ganapathy will felicitate the author. Former Outlook Editor-in-Chief Krishna Prasad will be in conversation with the author.
Profile: Gorur Ramaswamy Iyengar Gopinath, a retired Captain of the Indian Army, is the founder of Air Deccan. He has fought in the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War and was knighted with “Chevalier de la Legion d’Honneur,” the highest civilian award conferred by the French Government.
The first book he penned was ‘Simply Fly: A Deccan Odyssey.’
