Mysuru: In separate cases, a car driver and a 19-year-old youth committed suicide in city.
In the first case, a 32-year-old car driver allegedly committed suicide by hanging self at his residence in Gowrishankar Nagar in city yesterday morning. The deceased is Shankar. A native of Veera Wadeyara Hundi village in T. Narasipur taluk, Shankar was working for a doctor as a driver and was staying with his wife and child at Gowrishankar Nagar.
K.R. Police, who rushed to the spot, conducted mahazar, registered a case and shifted the body to MMC&RI mortuary, where post-mortem was conducted and the body was handed over to the deceased’s family members.
In the second case, a 19-year-old youth, said to be depressed in life, committed suicide by hanging self to a tree at Chamundi Hill on Wednesday. The deceased is Manikanta, a resident of Nanjangud. Public who saw the body hanging from a tree informed K.R. Police, who rushed to the spot, conducted mahazar besides registering a case.
Deceased Manikanta was working as a server at various marriage halls in city and the Police have suspected that he may have taken the extreme step due to depression in life.
