Car parking woes continue at Sub-Urban Bus Stand

Sir,

While the Government once again gave the option of paying traffic penalties at 50%, I too was eager to check the violation, if any. The KarnatakaOne website showed that my car too had a penalty of Rs. 100 for parking in a ‘No Parking’ area in Feb. 2019.

Many readers have expressed the problems faced by car owners while they come to Sub-Urban Bus Stand to drop or pick up someone.  In my case, I just had stationed the car under idle running condition with the driver in seat to unload luggage and my aged grandparents just for less than 2 minutes, near the restaurant gate, and the camera might have captured the same and penalised.  This might have happened to many like me.

But, I wonder why the District Administration, KSRTC and even Police are keeping mum — this is just one type of revenue generation from innocent people like me. It is high time our MLAs or the MP intervene and arrange a suitable place for people to facilitate pick or drop, without hampering the traffic on other side of the road.
