Carol singing contest on Dec. 5

The Catholic Association of Mysore will conduct the 17th Diocesan Carol Singing Competition on Dec. 5 at St. Philomena’s High School Auditorium, F.T.S. Circle, B.N. Road, Mysuru from 8.30 amunder the Presidentship of Most Rev. Dr. K. A. William, Bishop of Mysore and Patron ofthe Association.

Former Mayor Tasneem will be the chief guest. Rev. Fr. StaneyD’Almeda, Parish Priest of St. Joseph’s Cathedral and the Spiritual Director of the Association and Suresh Kumar, Inspector, Lashkar Police Station, will be the guests of honour.

The competition will be held for High Schools, Colleges, Religious Institutions, Parishes and Professional categories in Kannada, English and other Regional Languages. The valedictory function will be held the same evening at 6.30 pm under the Presidentship of Rev. Fr. Bernard Prakash Barnis, Rector & Manager of St. Philomena’s College.

Mayor SunandaPalanetra will be the chief guest. Rev. Fr. Dominic Vas, CR1 President, Rev. Fr. M. Vincent, Parish Priest, Perpetual Succour Church, Srirampura, Rev. Fr. Vijay Kumar, Secretary, Mysore Diocesan Educational Society, Ashif Basheer, District Officer, Minority Welfare Department, Anil Christy, Stastistical Officer, Mysuru City Corporation, ShanthuNesan, ex-Corporator and Johny G. Kunnel, Proprietor, J.J. Construction, Mysuru, will be the guests of honour.
