Cases booked against 14 persons for violating prohibitory order

Mysore/Mysuru: Udayagiri Police, on Apr. 9, have registered separate cases against 14 persons for violating prohibitory orders that has been imposed to control the spread of Coronavirus in city. Udayagiri Police, who were using drone cameras to check the violations on Apr. 9 afternoon, found a group of people crowding near a grocery shop next to Deepak Pawn Brokers shop on Mahadevapura Road and another group near Y.S. Traders despite prohibitory orders in force and also not maintaining social distance. 

Following the violations, Udayagiri Police have voluntarily booked cases under IPC Sections 269, 270 and 188 against six persons and eight persons separately. City Police Commissioner Dr. Chandragupta has urged the public to follow the prohibitory orders and co-operate to prevent the spread of Coronavirus failing which legal action would be initiated against the violators, according to a press release.
