CCRB Police raid gambling den; seize Rs. 49,000 cash

Mysore/Mysuru: The City Crime Records Bureau (CCRB) Police, following instruction from higher officials to take action on illegal gambling taking place in a building at Hebbal Industrial Area, coming under Hebbal Police, raided the place.

The higher officials had received information on July 17 that over 25 persons were gambling over a game of cards at a building in Hebbal Industrial Area, following which the CCRB Inspector was instructed to take action.

During the raid, the Police found over 31 persons indulged in gambling (Andar-Bahar) and took them into custody besides seizing Rs. 49,000 stake money.

DCP (Crime and Traffic) S. Jahnavi guided CCRB Inspector Mushtaq Pasha, Hebbal Sub-Inspector C. Keerthi, ASI Suresh and staff Anand, Sharath Kumar, Chandrashekhar and CCRB staff Balasubramanya, P.M. Vijaykumar, P. Gangadhar, L. Srinivas, R. Anand and M. Rajendra in the raid and seizing operation.
