Mysore/Mysuru: The centenary celebration and ‘Shata Payana,’ the 105th anniversary of the city-based The Railway Co-operative Bank will take place at MMC&RI Platinum Jubilee Hall in J.K. Grounds at 10.30 am on Sept. 6.
Announcing this at a press meet here on Sunday, Bank President M.B. Manchegowda said that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar will inaugurate the event in the presence of Suttur Mutt Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji, Kaginele Mutt Seer Dr. Shivanandapuri Swamiji, Adichunchanagiri Mutt Seer Dr. Sri Nirmalanandanatha Swamiji and Urilinga Peddi Mutt Seer Jnanaprakash Swamiji. Union Ministers H.D. Kumaraswamy and V. Somanna and a host of other political leaders will be present as chief guests.
The event will also feature felicitation of senior members of the Bank and other personalities who contributed for the growth of the bank and presentation of Pratibha Puraskar to meritorious children of Bank members who have scored more than 80 percent marks in SSLC and PUC.
A poster of the Bank’s Centenary celebrations was released on the occasion. Bank Vice-President S. Anand, CEO Narayan, Directors C. Shivashankar, Shwetha, Uttej, Chandrashekar, Nirmala, General Managers Sathyanarayan and Lakshmiprasad were present at the press meet.
