Cesc Team feted for restoration works at cyclone Fani-hit Odisha

Mysuru: As many as 15 CESC staff coming under the limits of N.R. Mohalla CESC Division were felicitated at a programme organised by the Division Office at KPTCL Community Hall in city on June 3 in recognition of their services to the people of cyclone Fani hit Odisha State.

The team was in Odisha from May 17 to May 30 to repair and replace the damaged electric lines in capital city Puri and other parts of that State.

Those who were felicitated by N.R. Mohalla CESC Division Executive Engineer H.S. Swamy are: Chamundipuram Sub-Division Assistant Engineer E. Manju (Team Leader), Kodbal Basappa (Team Assistant),  Nagaraju Kadakol, Anand, Gururaj, Manjunath Kovi, Veeresh, Pramod, Gopal, Ganesh, Rajesh, Manjunath, Basavaraju, Srinivas, and Nagendra — all Powermen.

All the 15 CESC team members were issued Commendation Certificate by the Central Electricity Supply Utility of Odisha for their  brilliant work of restoring power supply in the Fani-ravaged State.

On the occasion, a workshop to spread awareness on power safety, precautionary measures to prevent fire mishaps and other issues was also held. A Safety Oath was administered to all the staff.

Kadakola Branch Powerman Prakash was honoured with Best Powerman Award at the same programme.
