Mysore/Mysuru: Chain-snatcher has yanked off a part of a gold chain from a woman who was on her way to a shop at Saraswathipuram on Wednesday morning.
The woman, who lost her gold chain is Madhura, a resident of Telecom Layout in Saraswathipuram Police limits.
Using her presence of mind, Madhura managed to save a part of the gold chain by holding on to it tightly, when the chain-snatcher yanked it off.
At about 8 am on Wednesday, Madhura was walking towards a shop from her house, when the chain-snatcher, aged about 30 years, who came on a bike, tried to snatch the gold chain she was wearing.
But Madhura held on to the chain which broke and the chain-snatcher managed to flee with a part of the gold chain weighing about 30 grams, she has stated in the complaint.
Saraswathipuram Police, who have registered a case in this regard, have launched a hunt to nab the chain-snatcher.
