Mysore/Mysuru: Bike-borne miscreants have snatched a gold chain of a woman, who was returning home after purchasing milk from a nearby shop this morning.
The woman, who lost her gold chain, is 55-year-old Savithramma, a resident of Navilu Road in Kuvempunagar here. Savithramma had gone to a shop near her house and was returning home with milk, when two bike-borne chain-snatchers yanked off her 30 grams gold chain and sped away.
Due to pulling of chain, Savithramma fell on the ground, suffered bruises on her hands and legs and was treated at a private hospital. Kuvempunagar Inspector Raju and Garuda Police personnel, who rushed to the spot, conducted mahazar besides registering a case and are looking for footages of CCTV cameras installed in the area.
Following information from Kuvempunagar Police, City Police have barricaded many roads in city and are checking two-wheelers.
