Gold chain and two-wheeler worth Rs. 80,000 recovered
Mysore/Mysuru: Nazarbad Police, on Aug. 13, have arrested two chain-snatchers who had yanked off a gold chain of a woman, who was on her morning walk at K.C. Layout in city on Aug. 8 morning. The Police have recovered the gold chain worth Rs. 60,000 and a Passion Plus bike (KA-09-EE-673) stolen from Nanjangud Rural Police limits worth Rs. 20,000.
On Aug. 8 at about 7.15 am, the woman, who had gone for her morning walk, went to purchase milk from a shop located on the 7th Cross at K.C. Layout. The two chain-snatchers, who were on a bike, kept following her and later one of them got down from the bike, followed the woman for a distance and tried to snatch the gold chain. As the woman held on to the chain, the chain broke and the miscreant was able to snatch a part of the gold chain. He then hopped on the waiting bike and sped away.
Nazarbad Police, who had registered a case, conducted investigation and arrested the two chain-snatchers on Aug. 13.
DCP (Crime & Traffic) S. Jahnavi and Devaraja Sub-Division ACP Shanthamallappa guided Nazarbad Inspector K. Jeevan, Sub-Inspectors Srinivas Patil, Siddabai Mamadapura and staff B.V. Prakash, Satishkumar S. Kiran Rathod, Mallikarjuna, M. Sanju and CDR Division’s P. Kumar in the nabbing operation.
