Rs.2 lakh worth gold chain and two-wheeler seized
Mysuru, Sept.3 (KS)- V.V. Puram Police, on Aug.31, took two persons who were moving around Ramanna Circle in Yadavagiri on a bike in a suspicious manner and during interrogation, the Cops came to know that they were chain-snatchers and formally arrested them.
The accused are 26-year-old Harish and 28-year-old Mahesh, both residents of Kyathamaranahalli here.
During interrogation, the accused are said to have confessed of lifting a two-wheeler near the Satellite Bus Stand in Bengaluru and were trying to sell it at a lesser price.
When the Police searched them, they (Police) found a gold chain weighing 48 grams and on enquiry, the accused are said to have told the Cops that they had snatched the chain in V.V. Puram Police limits following which the Police seized the gold chain and the two-wheeler worth about Rs.2 lakh from them.
Following the arrest, the Police have solved one chain-snatching case in V.V. Puram limits and one bike-lifting case in Bengaluru.
DCP B.T. Kavitha and N.R. Sub-Division ACP C. Gopal supervised V.V. Puram Inspector H.N. Vinay and staff Somashekar, Prasanna, Jeevan, Eranna, Divakar and Suresh in the nabbing and seizing operation, according to a press release from the PRO, City Police Commissioner’s Office, Mysuru.
