Chain-snatching continues in Mysuru

Mysuru: Two bike-borne youths snatched away a mangala sutra weighing 34 grams from a 52-year-old woman when she was returning home after buying edible oil from a provision shop nearby her house located at 13th Cross, 2nd Main Road near Cauvery Bakery in B.M. Shri Nagar here last night around 9.  

Sundaramma, a resident of B.M. Shri Nagar, who lost her gold chain, has lodged a complaint with the Metagalli Police in this regard. In her complaint, Sundaramma stated that two youths, aged around 28-years, approached her on a black colour bike.

The pillion rider who wore helmet and snatched the gold chain was fat while the person who was riding the bike was tall, she added in the complaint.

Metagalli Police have launched a hunt to nab the culprits.

Meanwhile, the residents of the layouts have urged Police to prevent such crime which was rampant during dark hours besides intensifying the Police Patrolling to curb hooligans menace in their area.
