Mysore/Mysuru: MLA Rameshbabu Bandisiddegowda, who is also the Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation (CESC) Limited Chairman, has lauded the works of CESC staff in prevention of power T&D (Transmission and Distribution) losses and timely repair of electrical installations even under adverse conditions amid heavy monsoon rains.
He was speaking at the 78th Independence Day celebrations organised at the CESC Corporate Office in Vijayanagar 2nd Stage here yesterday.
Complementing the work of CESC staff for ensuring quality and regular power supplies by braving odds during heavy rains, Rameshbabu said that a huge number of electrical poles, other installations and trees had got uprooted in Madikeri and Sakleshpur regions during the recent rains which caused havoc. The CESC, responding to the problems promptly, deployed its force in full strength and restored power supplies within a short time, much to the relief of the people.
On the occasion, the CESC Chairman distributed appreciation certificates and gifts to over 500 CESC Engineers and personnel who worked hard for providing quality power by changing the snapped transmission lines, prevention of T&D losses, rectification of technical problems and linking of IP set RR numbers with Aadhaar numbers of farmers.
Earlier, CESC Managing Director Sheela hoisted the National Flag. CESC Technical Director Munigopal Raju and other officials were present.
