Mysore/Mysuru: Champaka Educational and Cultural Trust that runs Champaka Academy — a premier preschool and activity centre in the city — has announced ‘Champaka Kalaa Ratna’ awards-2023 to applaud and honour exemplary achievers in the field of Indian arts and culture.
The awards will be conferred on Vidu. Nandini Eswer (Classical dances), Ganjifa Raghupathi Bhat (Ganjifa art), Addanda C. Cariappa (Theatre) and Yogacharya Sudhesh Chand (Yoga) at the event to be held at 5.30 pm on June 1 at Champaka Sabhangana in Ramakrishnanagar.
Star of Mysore Founder-Editor K.B. Ganapathy, former Gundlupet MLA C.S. Niranjan Kumar and Chartered Accountant and Sri Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha President T.R. Harish will be the chief guests.
Champaka Academy Founder Vidu. Nagalakshmi Nagarajan will perform a thematic dance on D.V. Gundappa’s ‘Sri Krishna Leela Vibhuti’ accompaned by Vidu. Chethana Nagaraj (music and vocal support), Vid.
