Mysuru: Champaka Educational and Cultural Trust, Mysuru, has organised the ‘Magha and Phalguna’ edition of ‘Champaka Rashtreeya Kalaa Utsava’ on Phalguna Bahula Chaturdashi tomorrow (Mar. 28) at Champaka Academy premises in Ramakrishnanagar.
The programme will start at 5 pm with ‘Aarambha Nritya’ performance by budding students of Champaka Academy learning Bharatanatyam at Jayalakshmipuram, Hebbal, Gokulam and Srinagar. They are trained by Vidushi Dr. Nagalakshmi Nagarajan and her disciples Shreya Vijay, Ananya Kemparaj and Pooja Janagowdar.
This will be followed by ‘Vachana Nritya Saurabha’ (on Vachanas of Shivasharanas) by Dr. Nagalakshmi and her disciples at 6.30 pm.
This event is jointly organised by Champaka Academy and Akhila Bharata Sharana Sahitya Parishat, Mysuru. It is an endowment programme and will be presided by Parishat Mysuru President M.G. Sadanandaiah. Social worker Dr. K. Raghuram Vajpayee will be the chief guest.
