Mysuru: Central Sangeet Natak Akademi awardees from Mysuru, Dr. Vasundhara Doraswamy, Vidushi H.R. Leelavathi and Prof. Gowri Kuppuswamy were felicitated with “Champaka Kalaaratna” award (including a citation, silk shawl and cash purse) in recognition of their Lifetime Achievements in the field of art by Founders of Champaka Academy, Mysuru, S. Nagarajan and Vidushi P.K. Nagalakshmi (disciple of Dr. Vasundhara), recently at Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha in Mysuru during the felicitation programmes organised by the Sabha to the awardees along with Lalitha V. Murthy endowment programme, sponsored by the daughters of Lalitha V. Murthy and K.V. Murthy.
Dr. Vasundhara performed “Kshaatra Draupadi,” a solo dance feature on the occasion.
Nonagenarian Prof. Gowri Kuppuswamy was feted at her residence in Jayalakshmipuram.
