Mysore/Mysuru: Champaka Educational and Cultural Trust, Mysuru, has embarked on an ambitious initiative to conduct monthly cultural events to showcase Indian performing arts under the banner “Champaka Rashtreeya Kalaa Utsava.”
“Adhika Shravana” edition will be held on Saturday (Aug. 5) 4.30 pm at Champaka Academy premises in Ramakrishnanagar.
Disciples of Karnataka Kalashri Dr. Tulasi Ramachandra, the Director of Nrityalaya Trust, Mysuru, will present “Madhurya Marga” based on Karnataka dance tradition.
R. Lasya Priya, daughter and disciple of Guru Dr. Malini Ravishankar, Founder of Lasyavardhana School of Performing Arts, Bengaluru, will present a live performance titled “Sangeeta Gaana Nritya Yaana”, assisted by Pravardhan (vocal), Keshava Prasad (violin) and Karthik Pranav (mridanga).
Junior disciples of Vidushi Nagalakshmi Nagarajan, Founder of Champaka Academy, will also perform. Dr. Chitralekha and Dr. Mahesh Kumar, Founders of Chitra’s Hospital in Mysuru, will be the chief guests. For details call Mob: 99801-34090.
