Mysore/Mysuru: Champaka Educational and Cultural Trust, Mysuru and Champaka Academy, have embarked on an ambitious initiative to conduct monthly cultural events to showcase Indian performing arts under ‘Champaka Rashtreeya Kalaa Utsava.’
Bhadrapada edition will be held tomorrow (Oct. 7) at 4.30 pm at Champaka Sabhangana in Ramakrishnanagar.
This edition will showcase Bharatanatyam performances by accomplished artistes from Bengaluru and Mysuru.
Vidu. Dr. Nagalakshmi Nagarajan, Founder of Champaka Academy and her disciples will present a dance feature titled “Devi Kriti Samarpanam” dedicated to Mother Goddess in varied forms.
Vidu. Dr. Lakshmi Rekha Arun, Founder-Director of Laasya Academy of Dance, Bengaluru and her disciples will present a dance feature “Ashtalakshmi”, based on the compositions of Dr. Chitraveena Ravikiran that celebrates the essence and spirit of the Goddess.
Guru Dr. Chetana Radhakrishna, Director of Gurudev Academy of Fine Arts, Mysuru and her disciples will present a Bharatanatyam dance recital.
Jahnavi Murthy of NR Group, Mysuru and Karnataka Kalashri Dr. Vasundhara Doraswamy , will be the chief guests. For details call Mob: 99801-34090.
